The Reciprocating Saw – Everything You Need To Know!
Also called an oscillating saw, the reciprocating saw performs just like a jigsaw. Contractors, remodelers and property owners use these saws for a wide range of reasons such as effective slicing through sheetrock, ply board, plumbing, and timber flooring. With regards to the cutting edge, these tools are strong enough to cut through nail-embedded material. They are not known for making good, precise cuts, however, so they should not be used where the cut will be noticeable in the completed job. Read the rest of this entry »
The Truth About Corded Versus Cordless Reciprocating Saws
Reciprocating saws are mostly used for cutting into materials that a standard man-operated saw might be used for to cut such materials as timber, plastic, and steel. The reciprocating saw uses a slicing motion that both forces and draws the edge in practically the same way you would if you were using an old-fashioned guide saw. The advantage of this kind of saw is that it works faster and simpler than the use of a manual saw.
These tools are similar to the jigsaw in that it has a base or a platform which can be placed against the materials you are reducing when the blade goes forward and back. You can set the base against the material being cut to provide you additional steadiness and reliability because doing so prevents the saw edge from extreme movements, and moving from the grasp of your hands. This base or platform makes using the reciprocating saw much simpler and safe to use than the ordinary manual saw. It also makes cutting either up and down or side to side a simple job. Using A Three Phase Generator For Single Phase Loads
As an industrial generator rental business owner, I always cringe when a customer tells me that they want to power a single phase load with one of my three phase generators. It is an inefficient operation for both the electricity producing generator as well as the (typically diesel) engine. It is however, entirely possible and very easy for anyone with a measure of mechanical and mathematical aptitude to accomplish. Fair warning though, if you do your math incorrectly, you can easily end up causing expensive damage to the generator, and the engine can suffer as well. Read the rest of this entry »
Tractor Driven PTO Generator – Read Before You Use One
A tractor powered PTO driven generator is one of the most sensible purchases that almost any farmer could make. Apart from powering those once a year electric loads like grain dryers or bin fans, they can also be convenient and relatively inexpensive insurance against those all too often power outages that occur in rural areas.
CARE AND FEEDING OF A PTO GENERATOR…
A PTO driven generator can easily last for 10000 to 15000 hours without any maintenance at all. For most users, that’s more than a lifetime of usage. The owner should mark the hours of the tractor somewhere on the generator when it is new to keep track as at around 12000 hrs, the generator bearing should be replaced. The bearing is located in the rear of the generator and should be replaced by a motor rewind shop. The cost shouldn’t be more than a few hundred dollars unless the bearing has worn the housing and machining is required. Read the rest of this entry »
What To Do When Your Tuttnauer Autoclave Water Pump Does Not Pump Water
It might sound silly to offer tips on what you can do when your Tuttnauer autoclave water pump doesn’t pump water. You just replace it, right? Who has time to worry about what might actually be causing the problem? The pump doesn’t work, you call the repairman and you tell him to fix it.
But if you’ve ever sent your autoclave out for any type of repair then you know how expensive it can be. Not only do you have to pay for parts and labor, you’ll also have to pay for shipping and handling – both ways! And let’s not forget – you’ll also need to rent a machine to tide you over for the next 4 to 6 weeks. After you get done shelling out all that money you could almost buy a brand new machine!
So don’t be so quick to relegate that poor little water pump to the junk heap. It may be a simple problem that will only take you a minute or two to fix. And if you find the problem and fix it yourself you’ll save yourself a ton of money and aggravation. Here’s what you can do if your Tuttnauer water pump doesn’t pump water like it’s supposed to.
Check the pump strainer. It may just be that it’s clogged. Clean it and use the water inlet key to run the pump. If it works, problem solved! See how easy that was?
If it doesn’t work, you’ll need to check the Fill Solenoid. Don’t panic. It’s easy.
Use something made of steel, like a screwdriver, and place it on the center post of the fill solenoid to see if the magnetic field is activated. If it is, then that means the solenoid has been turned on.
If you don’t detect a magnetic field, listen for a small ‘click’ when you turn on the pump. That ‘click’ sound means the solenoid should be open.
If you don’t hear the click then open the solenoid valve, remove the plunger and put the housing back on. Now, use the water inlet key to run the pump. If water is now running into the chamber then the plunger was the problem and you’ll need to replace it.
Now, if there’s still no water, take the housing off again and press the water inlet key again. If you see water going through the base of the valve then the problem is a clog or crimp in the tubing that runs from the valve base to the chamber.
However, if you see no water in the valve base, then the problem is the pump itself and you’ll need to replace it.
As you can see, if your Tuttnauer water pump isn’t pumping water, it’s a pretty easy fix. And even if you have to replace it, you’ve already seen how easy it is to make all the necessary connections. You’ll save yourself a lot of money if you just repair it yourself.

Warm Mist Humidifiers – Why Is It a Necessary Home Office Equipment?
The air we breathe contains controlled amount of humidity (water vapor) and if levels goes down beyond what is necessary, it creates breathing problems particularly to those suffering from asthma and other allergies. Room air must have a healthy humidity reading of 30% to 50% because if it falls below average, breathing problems are imminent. Moreover, if the humidity reading goes beyond, condensation takes over and becomes an ideal spot for dust mites, bacteria and mold spores to grow. A warm mist humidifier is therefore a good addition to any room. This is a digital machine that promotes healthy levels of humidity. In addition, together with a hygrometer, this home office equipment can create the perfect room environment.
What are the types of humidifiers widely available? There are two types; one is the cool mist types while the other are warm mist humidifiers. Both use water to supply the needed humidity requirement in an enclosed space. Humidifiers follow one basic principle and that is to cause water to evaporate inside the room, allowing it to mix with the unstable room environment.
Cool Mist Humidifiers allow water to pass through a wick to evaporate and usually connected to the home’s heating system; working in conjunction with the heating operation. Because the distribution of water vapor is coursed through a circulation fan, this type of humidifier is noisy, although, designs with muted filters are popular and can be used inside sleeping quarters.
Warm Mist Humidifiers work in a similar fashion but employs devices to force boil-stored water in tanks and expel distilled steam into the room. Quick-steam coming out of this home office equipment is like a gentle spray of warm water and usually concentrated surrounding the digital machine. These are normally sold as small portable units and are often used as steaming medications to allow patients to breathe more freely.
As a digital machine, mist humidifiers deliver natural relief to room dry air and most are provided with a humidistat and related sensors to control and maintain precise levels of humidity inside the room. Therefore, this home office equipment operates automatically to give the room the perfect environment.
When are humidifiers necessary? Signs of problems related to home humidity are health issues surrounding chipped lips, dry skin, chronic-sinus problems, or lingering dry cough. Besides, dry air in low humidity rooms also affects wood and other moisture sensitive furnishing as it blisters, crack and warp. Thus, when this happens and health issues manifest, it is time to add a cool or warm mist humidifier, the perfect home office equipment into the room.
Next time, when you feel uncomfortable inside the room and cannot breathe more freely, you might need a digital machine mist humidifier to improve the air environment.
