Feng Shui Tips – Flowers As Feng Shui Enhancements
There are many enhancements you can make to your home to promote positive energy and bring balance and harmony to your life. One of my favourite enhancements is to use fresh flowers and our home in France is often filled with vases of fresh flowers in most rooms of the house.
Flowers are excellent to place in your home as enhancements as they help to revitalise the flow of chi around your space. Fresh flowers are always best, but if you cannot get hold of fresh flowers, or the smell of flowers has a negative impact on your health and comfort, artificial flowers especially silk can be substituted. Opinion is divided as to whether dried flower arrangements can enhance the energy in your home and I have to say that I fall on the side of the fence which does not recommend them. To me dried flowers remind me too much of death and decay and so I avoid them in the home. This for me is a personal choice, if you love dried flowers and if for you they symbolise eternity then placed with intention and love they can act as an enhancement to your personal space. Feng Shui’s Credibility And Classification As a Predictive Art
As a professional in the predictive arts, I had to tune in when a popular TV show recently aired an episode on whether or not psychics are frauds or for real. With relatively little in-depth investigation into the phenomenon of psychic ability, the show’s producers took the safe stance that most psychics are either frauds or just overly confident eccentrics with delusions about their abilities.
This particular show contained its subjects to psychic mediums (who talk to the dead), a palm reader, some space clearers, and a Tarot card reader. While I happen to personally feel that most psychics are not nearly specific enough for my tastes, I also know and have had first hand experience that Feng Shui practitioners are usually treated pretty badly (and unfairly) by the media as well. Finding Balance With The Elements Of Feng Shui
Couldn’t we could all use a little more balance in our life? One of the easiest ways to bring balance to our environment is through the Five Elemental Theory of Feng Shui. In Feng Shui, we believe if you have a balance of the five key elements in our homes then we will be assured of balance in our life. Feng Shui is a way to study the energy flow of a particular location, tap into the positive energy, and utilize the forces to improve our life.
The five key elements of Feng Shui are water, wood, fire, metal and earth. We can use the actual element, the color that represents that element, an image of the element or the shape that symbolizes the element. If we begin with water, we could have; a water fountain, something black, which is the color that represents the water element, an image of a waterfall, or something that has an abstract shape with flowing lines like waves on water. If we look at the element of wood anything made of wood would work, the color green symbolizes the wood element, rectangle shape, or an image of a beautiful tree. Another one of the five key elements is fire. Read the rest of this entry »
Home Fragrances Improve Mood and Create a Tranquil Environment
Numerous studies have been conducted by scientists and psychologists to correlate the role sensory input plays in determining mood and overall feelings of wellbeing. These studies continue to hone in the power of scent and how fragrance can impact the way a person feels.
For example, the scent of lavender, whether it’s sprayed in a perfume or burned as an oil, evokes feelings of calm and tranquility. People that struggle with sleep disorders or have difficulty relaxing at night can benefit from burning lavender candles at night or rubbing lavender oils on certain trigger points. The art of placement, or Feng shui, can aid you in using chi to form an effective home office. Chi is the worldwide life force present in everything. Feng shui’s strategies can form the best flow of chi through your home office which can foster a healthy work and home life. Chi being blocked can lead to everything suffering. You may experience change after change in your life. Organizing paperwork can lead to the perfect flow of chi around your well laid out furniture.
One: Your home office should have its own room. It doesn’t have to be large, but it should have a door. Having a separate room with a door for your home office will put you in control of your work. This will also keep your work and personal life separate. Read the rest of this entry »
